Hubie is a single player puzzle platformer released in 1996 for MS-DOS. Developed and published by Serendipity Software, the game presents a meditative, side-view experience where players control a small round character named Hubie, who is equipped with legs and antennae. The core objective involves navigating through a series of enclosed rooms to reach an exit.

The player directs Hubie through various chambers filled with block obstacles. Progression requires manipulating the environment to clear a path to the door leading to the next room. Hubie interacts with objects using several distinct mechanics. He can break certain blocks by colliding with them, push items by emitting air puffs, and climb onto surfaces. His antennae function as rotors, enabling brief hovering flights. The game world contains interactive elements like springs for enhanced jumps, balloons, fans, explosives, and magnets, which can be used to move objects and solve spatial puzzles. The unregistered version features 17 rooms, while the full game expands this with over 100 additional rooms and introduces new objects, such as mirrors that reflect light beams.

Gameplay is structured around methodically testing interactions between Hubie's abilities and the room's objects to find a solution. The puzzles vary in complexity, offering a range from straightforward to more demanding challenges. The side-view perspective allows for clear planning of movements and object interactions within each confined space.
