Hired Guns is a science fiction action role-playing game released in 1993 for MS-DOS. Developed by DMA Design Limited and published by Psygnosis Limited, it is a first-person dungeon crawler set in a futuristic environment. The game utilizes a grid-based movement system reminiscent of titles like Dungeon Master and supports cooperative play for up to four participants.

Players control a team of up to four mercenaries, selected from a roster of twelve, who are sent to the planet Graveyard in the year 2712. The mission, initially presented as a hostage rescue, becomes a fight for survival against genetically engineered creatures. The screen dynamically splits into separate first-person viewpoints for each active character, with the display adjusting for one, two, three, or four players. A solo player manages all four characters, switching between their perspectives with the mouse, while a follow mode simplifies moving the group. In multiplayer, participants can control their assigned mercenaries using a mouse, joystick, or keyboard.

The game offers three distinct modes. A Training mode provides five simple maps for learning movement and inventory management. The primary Full Campaign mode involves progressing through over twenty areas on Graveyard, completing missions, collecting four fusion power core rings, and ultimately confronting the final challenge at the Spaceport. A Short Action mode presents seventeen standalone maps where players must defeat enemies and reach an exit within a time limit; in multiplayer sessions, this becomes a competitive race where only the first player to exit wins.
