Grand Prix 2 is a Formula 1 racing simulation released in 1995 for MS-DOS. Developed and published by MicroProse, the game recreates the full 1994 Formula 1 World Championship season, including all circuits and drivers. The primary perspective is a first-person cockpit view, with external camera angles reserved mainly for replay sequences. The presentation features texture-mapped graphics and detailed rear-view mirrors.

Players control a Formula 1 driver, with the objective of competing in races across the championship calendar. The game offers five skill levels, with seven driving aids such as automatic braking and a suggested racing line available on lower difficulty settings. Race and practice session lengths are adjustable. A significant aspect of gameplay involves configuring the car's setup, which includes standard adjustments like brake balance and gear ratios, as well as more technical parameters such as spring settings and ride height, to optimize performance for different track conditions.

The game supports multiplayer through two methods. Players can take turns on a single computer, with one participant driving at a time while the computer simulates the actions of the other cars on track. Alternatively, players can connect multiple computers via a linkup for simultaneous competition. This structure allows multiple participants to experience a full race event, each controlling their own vehicle during their assigned turn.
