Galaga 94 is a fixed-screen shooter game released for MS-DOS in 1994. It is based on the classic vertical shooter Galaga from Namco. The game was developed by APSS Austria and presents a top-down perspective on the action.

The player controls a single spacecraft at the bottom of the screen, moving it horizontally to engage waves of alien ships. These enemy formations swoop across the play area, deploying bombs and other projectiles. The primary objective is to survive these assaults and destroy all incoming aliens. The player's ship initially fires rockets, with a limit of three projectiles allowed on screen simultaneously. Progression occurs through distinct stages, each featuring new enemy attack patterns.

Key gameplay systems include wave-based combat and a bonus item mechanic. For every twenty aliens destroyed, a special bonus craft appears. Destroying this craft causes it to drop a power-up item. These bonuses provide various effects, such as increasing the number of missiles allowed on screen, granting temporary shields, awarding an extra life, or providing a direct points increase. The game structure revolves around clearing these enemy waves while strategically collecting these enhancements to improve survivability and score.
