Eco Phantoms is a science fiction action game released in 1990 for the MS-DOS platform. Developed by Splinter Vision LTD and published by European Electronic Zoo Ltd, the game presents a post-apocalyptic scenario viewed from a first-person perspective. The player assumes the role of a spaceship pilot returning to Earth after a six-year absence.

The player controls a stolen alien aircraft, referred to as an Eco zeppelin, to explore a transformed Earth. The primary objective is to reverse a planet-wide resource-draining process conducted by an alien force known as the Eco Phantoms. Gameplay involves navigating through three large domed environments on the planet's surface. These areas combine pseudo-three-dimensional dungeon exploration with action-based combat against Eco forces. Players must learn to operate their craft, gather resources, and collect data spheres while progressing through the environments.

Progression is structured around completing specific tasks within each dome, which include rescuing prisoners and engaging in confrontations. The game incorporates arcade-style sequences and puzzle-solving elements alongside the core exploration and combat. Success in these areas eventually grants access to the alien mothership orbiting Earth. The final goal is to infiltrate this vessel and reprogram its central computer to restore the planet.
