About Eagle Eye Mysteries In London
Eagle Eye Mysteries in London is an educational adventure game released in 1994 for MS-DOS computers. It was developed by Stormfront Studios and published under the EA*Kids label. The game is a sequel that follows the Eagle Eye Detective Agency, featuring siblings Jake and Jennifer Eagle, as they investigate various cases set in the city of London.
Players assume a first person perspective, guiding the detective duo through the streets of London to solve over fifty individual mysteries. The primary objective involves traveling to different landmarks, where players must search scenes and converse with characters to gather clues. These clues are recorded and managed using an in game device called T.R.A.V.I.S., a handheld computer system for organizing text and video information. Progression is case based, with each mystery presenting a self contained puzzle to solve through observation and logical deduction.
Upon successfully solving a case, players are rewarded with a new page for a digital scrapbook, which chronicles their accomplishments. The gameplay integrates sightseeing and educational elements, as visiting famous London locations often provides context or necessary information for the investigations. The structure focuses on exploration, dialogue, and inventory management of clues, without incorporating action or combat sequences.
