Doofus is a side view platform game released in 1994 for the MS-DOS platform. It was developed by X-ample Architectures and published by Prestige Softwareentwicklung GmbH. The player controls a character navigating a series of levels with the primary goal of reaching the end without harm.

The player guides the protagonist, accompanied by a pet dog that follows automatically, through a sequence of platforming stages. The game's screen scrolls from right to left as the player progresses. Levels feature platforms at varying heights, allowing for multiple potential paths. Players must avoid environmental hazards, some of which can be destroyed by shooting, while others require precise jumping to bypass. Throughout the stages, players can collect bonus items, including different weapons and other power ups, to aid in traversal and defense.
