Destruction Derby is a racing and vehicular combat game released in 1996 for the MS-DOS platform. It was developed by Reflections Interactive Limited and published by Psygnosis Limited. The game presents its action from a first-person perspective, placing the player directly behind the wheel.

Players control a race car across several distinct competitive modes. The primary objective varies by mode, focusing either on finishing a race in first place or on deliberately causing collisions with other vehicles to score points. In the Destruction Derby mode, competitors drive within a large, open arena known as The Bowl, where the goal is to earn points by wrecking opponents. The Stock Car Racing mode is a more traditional circuit race where victory is determined solely by finishing position, and damaging other cars provides no advantage. A hybrid mode, called Wreckin' Racing, combines these elements by awarding points both for race placement and for successful impacts on other cars. An additional Time Trial mode allows for solo laps against the clock without other competitors on the track.

Gameplay involves managing vehicle speed and positioning to either outmaneuver rivals on a track or to line up forceful collisions in the arena. The physics of crashes are a central system, with different types of impacts, such as causing an opponent's car to spin, potentially yielding different point values. Progression typically involves competing in a series of these events, with performance influencing advancement through the game's structure.
