Dark Seed II is a point and click adventure game released in 1995 for MS-DOS. Developed and published by Cyberdreams, Inc., it is a horror and mystery title that continues the story from the first game. The game features artwork and designs by H.R. Giger and is presented from a side view perspective.

The player controls Mike Dawson, who is recovering from a nervous breakdown. After returning to his hometown, he becomes the prime suspect in the murder of his former high school sweetheart, Rita. With little memory of the night in question, the primary objective is to investigate the crime and prove his innocence. Progression is structured around exploring environments, collecting items, and conversing with numerous characters to gather clues and solve puzzles.

Gameplay involves toggling between movement, action, and dialogue interaction modes using the right mouse button. A key mechanic is swapping between the Normal World and the sinister Dark World, with the player navigating a total of seventy five prerendered locations. The overarching goals involve confronting the corruption in both realms and ultimately overthrowing a powerful entity known as the Behemoth of the Dark World. The interface primarily uses the full screen for location display, with inventory and menu bars appearing when needed.
