Cool Spot is a side view platform game released in 1994 for MS-DOS. It was developed by Virgin Games, Ltd. and published by Virgin Interactive Entertainment in Europe. The game is an arcade style title where players control the character Spot, the mascot for the 7 Up soft drink.

The player guides Spot through a series of levels, with the primary objective being to rescue other identical Spots trapped in cages. These cages are located at the end of each stage, though the exit is not always positioned at the far right of the level layout. To unlock these cages, the player must first collect a required number of items called "spots," which are scattered abundantly throughout the environment. This collection requirement typically increases as the game advances. Spot's main abilities include jumping and firing soda bubbles as an attack, which can be aimed in multiple directions even while in mid air. He can also cling to and climb on various surfaces within the levels.

Player health is represented by an animated face of Cool Spot that leans forward and eventually falls off its perch as damage is sustained. Damage occurs from contact with enemies, their projectiles, or certain hazardous obstacles. Each stage is completed under a time limit, and failing to finish before the clock reaches zero results in the loss of a life. The game does not feature a save system but includes checkpoint flagpoles. Passing a checkpoint raises its flag and triggers a sound, allowing the player to restart from that point if a life is lost later in the level.
