Coaster is an amusement park simulation game released in 1993 for the MS-DOS platform. It was developed by Code To Go and published by Walt Disney Computer Software, Inc. The game focuses on the design and testing of roller coasters from a first-person perspective.

Players take on the role of a roller coaster designer, constructing custom rides using a variety of track components. The design interface provides elements such as flat sections, curves, loops, corkscrews, and lift hills, with adjustable parameters for slope, banking, and speed control. These pieces can be assembled in numerous configurations, allowing for a wide range of coaster layouts, though not all designs will be functional or safe for passengers. After building a coaster, the player can switch to a first-person view to virtually ride their creation.

The game includes a simulation element where six virtual park guests, each with distinct preferences for elements like high speed or numerous inversions, ride and evaluate the coaster. The objective is to manage these competing preferences to achieve a high average rating from the group. Players can design new coasters from scratch or load and modify existing designs to improve their scores. This cycle of construction, testing, and guest feedback forms the core progression of the game.
