About Carnage
Carnage is a top-down racing game released in 1993 for the MS-DOS platform. It was developed by Sharp Minds and published by Zeppelin Games Limited. The game presents a series of races where all competing vehicles maintain an identical speed, shifting the challenge from acceleration to tactical positioning and track navigation.
The player controls a single car through a sequence of races viewed from above. The primary objective is to finish first in each event, as progression to the next track is only permitted with a victory; failing to win ends the game entirely. There are eighteen tracks in total to complete. After each successful race, the player is awarded 800 pounds of in-game currency. This money can be spent at a shop to purchase items such as nitrous boosts and mines for use during races, or to acquire equipment that upgrades the car's performance for subsequent events.
