Blaze and the Monster Machines: Race to the Rescue is one of those simple but surprisingly fun little racing games. You hop into Blaze’s driver seat and speed through different tracks, dodging obstacles and grabbing power-ups—classic stuff, but the controls are smooth, and the tracks have just enough twists to keep it interesting.

Of course, Crusher’s up to his usual tricks, so you’ll be rescuing Blaze’s friends along the way. The art style’s bright and cartoony, just like the show, and the races are short enough that you can jump in for a quick play without committing to a marathon session. My only gripe? Sometimes I wish there were more tracks, but for a free HTML5 game, it’s solid.

If you’ve got a kid (or just like colorful racing games), this one’s a decent way to kill 10 minutes.
