Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold is a first-person shooter released in 1993 for MS-DOS. Developed by JAM Productions and published by Apogee Software, Ltd., the game uses a modified version of the Wolfenstein 3-D engine to present its science fiction themed environments. Players assume the role of Blake Stone, an agent tasked with infiltrating the operations of the villainous Dr. Goldfire.

The game is structured across multiple chapters, each containing ten levels set within facilities like the S.T.A.R. Institute headquarters. The primary objective in each stage is to locate an elevator keycard to progress, fighting through numerous guards and genetic mutants along the way. Dr. Goldfire himself periodically appears to confront the player directly. Progression involves navigating maze-like corridors, collecting items, and engaging in combat where the player can use silent weapons to eliminate enemies without raising a general alert, a status communicated through on-screen text messages.

Several gameplay systems support the core action. Health is restored using wall-mounted vending machines, which require tokens collected from defeated enemies. The player has access to an automap for navigation and can track various statistics during play. Additionally, certain non-hostile characters are present in the levels; interacting with these characters can provide clues or power-ups, though they can be harmed if fired upon. After completing a chapter, the narrative advances as Dr. Goldfire escapes to a new location, prompting the next chapter and a new set of levels to explore.
