Bio Menace is a platform game released in 1993 for MS-DOS. Developed and published by Apogee Software, it is a run and gun title presented from a third-person perspective. The player assumes the role of Snake Logan, a CIA agent sent to investigate mutant attacks in Metro City.

The player controls Snake through a series of levels across three distinct episodes. The primary objective is to navigate each stage, defeat mutant enemies, and ultimately confront the episode's boss. Progression requires finding a hostage in each level to unlock the exit, often necessitating the collection of keycards or crystal shards to deactivate laser gates. Snake utilizes multiple weapons, including a machine gun, lasers, land mines, and grenades, to combat foes. The game incorporates exploration and puzzle elements, such as locating gold keys to open lockers for essential items and solving color sequence puzzles to gain score bonuses.

Each episode contains twelve levels, and the game begins with a practice mode for all but the final stage. Snake has a health system of eight units, allowing him to sustain multiple hits before losing a life. Players can earn extra lives by accumulating points through collecting gems or specific power-ups, or by finding a mini-Snake item. Certain areas contain temporary invincibility flasks. The game uses a modified version of the Commander Keen engine, sharing interface elements like a score display and system configuration screens, while introducing its own distinct mechanics and structure.
