Alley Cat is an arcade platform game released in 1983 for MS-DOS systems. It was developed by Synapse Software Corporation and published by ariolasoft GmbH. The game presents its action from a side view perspective, featuring a series of interconnected mini games.

The player controls a small black cat whose objective is to navigate an urban environment and reach a female cat residing in an apartment building. Progression begins in an alleyway, where the cat must climb over obstacles like garbage cans and fences to enter the building. The journey involves platforming across clotheslines and leaping through open windows while avoiding hazards such as dogs and thrown garbage. Points can be earned by catching mice that appear on the clotheslines. Upon entering a window, the cat is placed into a room for a randomly selected mini game.

These mini games involve various cat themed tasks, such as consuming fish from a bowl, stealing milk from bulldogs, or knocking items like a birdcage or vases from furniture. Each room also contains a moving broom that attempts to disrupt the player. Completing a mini game within a time limit awards points, with faster completion yielding higher scores. After finishing a mini game, the cat returns to the alley and must navigate back into the building. Successfully returning provides access to a final sequence where the cat must ascend a row of hearts to reach the female cat, while avoiding rival cats and projectiles. Following this sequence, the game's difficulty increases for subsequent attempts.
