Alien Carnage, also known as Halloween Harry, is a side-scrolling platform game released for MS-DOS in 1993. Developed by Interactive Binary Illusions and published by Apogee Software, Ltd., the game is set during an alien invasion where humans are turned into zombies. The player controls the character Harry, who is tasked with saving Earth from this threat.

Gameplay involves navigating through a series of side-view levels, with the primary objectives being to defeat enemies and rescue all kidnapped humans in each stage. The player controls Harry, who is equipped with a flamethrower as a primary weapon and uses a jetpack for vertical movement instead of a standard jump. Both the flamethrower and the jetpack consume from the same limited ammunition resource, requiring careful management. Progression is achieved by eliminating the alien and zombie foes, gathering hostages, and then locating an elevator to exit the completed level.

Several interconnected systems support the core action. Players collect coins dropped by defeated enemies, which serve as currency to purchase different types of ammunition from dispensers found in the levels. Health can be restored by consuming junk food items or by successfully rescuing hostages, which fully replenishes Harry's health. Various power-ups appear throughout the stages, including wrapped gifts for extra ammo, money bags for additional credits, and icons that grant extra lives. The game allows progress to be saved at computer terminals located within the levels.
